SPIEGEL KULTUR London
The new cultural magazine DER SPIEGEL KULTUR, whose launch is scheduled for 24 April 2012 and which will be produced by the KulturSPIEGEL editorial team, will
take readers through the current scene: pop, fashion, films,
architecture, theatre, art, cuisine, shopping and much more. Celebrities
will be asked to present their favourite locations in the city and the
band Underworld, the curators of the musical programme for the Olympic
Games, will discuss the city's music scene with the magazine's editorial
team. An author will describe what the essence of London is, and a
fashion designer will explain what the term "British style" means to
him. And of course there will be a dedication to the Queen on the
occasion of her 60-year Diamond Jubilee. The service pages will include a
report on the comeback of tea parties.
The Tower, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Harrod‘s: in London there are many world-famous places to see and experience. And from 27 July onwards there will be one more mega-event to savour: the Olympic Games. But what exciting things does the city have to offer beyond its big, well-known features? Where can today's Swinging London be found? What about some insider tips? And what really constitutes the essence of this city?
The magazine will present overnight accommodation options such as tents in private gardens, describe the highlights of the Olympic Games' cultural programme, and inform readers about some underestimated museums in the city.
